Luis Colon '13 Recruiting Profile

I would very much enjoy to play at the next level. I am a hard worker, have good grades, and stay out of trouble. I would like to major in the Biology field and go on to have a career later on in life. When I found out that I could go to college and possibly get it paid for by playing the game I love, it really was just like a dream come true. I have 3 years of varsity experience and I enjoy playing the game. I always give 100% no matter what the circumstances, winning 10-0 or losing 10-0. Character is judged by adversity and I have risen to the challenge of adversity time and time again. I am 17 years old. I was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. I speak both English and Spanish. I can still read, speak, and write Spanish. I moved to Mississippi in 2001 and have been here ever since. I enjoy the Gulf Coast, but I am not afraid to leave it to broaden my horizons both academically and athletically. People say I am a natural born leader and I lead simply by example. I have a 3.5 GPA with a 23 on my ACT. I am also a member of the Key Club and Spanish Honors Society at school. Including this year I will have a total of three years of varsity experience. I am a hardworker and earn everything that has been given to me. Only through hardwork will you find success. I am always motivated and never satisfied.
