As a freshman I had limited playing time on the field; however, I did earn one start on the mound and pitched 14 innings throughout the season including some mound time in a playoff game. That experience was invaluable for me going into my sophomore season. As a starting sophomore pitcher and right fielder, I earned several accolades including being named a 2017 Region 8-2A All Division Player. The opportunity that my head baseball coach, Coach Adam Dyess, gave me at an early point in my high school career has had a lasting impact on my confidence and skill set. As a junior, I have moved to center field and I continue to make an impact on the mound and at the plate. I was named a 2018 Region 6-2A All Division Player for Mississippi and received the 2018 Co-Pitcher Award at Mize Attendance Center. In 2017 I was named to the All Tournament Team as a Pitcher by Perfect Game in the 16U and 18U divisions. In the 18U division I recorded a 0.00 ERA. In July 2018, I was named to the All Tournament Team as a Pitcher by Perfect Game in the 17U division with a 0.00 ERA.
I am fortunate to be a part of a great high school program with a coach that not only teaches the game of baseball but also the game of life. During my high school career, I have learned what it really means to be a teammate, leader and what it truly means to put the program before self. I am looking for a program that is going to continue to help me grow athletically as a player and academically as a student. I have the talent, work ethic, focus and passion to play at the next level and be an impact player for any program. I am also fortunate that I play for former Major Leaguer Matt Miller's organization, the 59 Prospects. I played extensively in the Southeast this past summer and will play again in the summer of 2018. My long term goal is to complete college and become a graduate assistant as I work on my master’s degree. I eventually want to earn the right to be a collegiate head baseball coach.
