Silas McKinney '23 Recruiting Profile

My goals for college are to earn a degree while realizing my dreams of playing college baseball. I work very hard on and off the field and carry a high GPA. My high school career started with losing my freshman season. Even though I lost a valuable year of experience I was able to overcome and started varsity as a sophomore. My high school coaches selected me for the most improved player for 2021. The values instilled in me by my family and the life lessons I’ve learned through baseball is what sets me apart as a player and a person. I have a team first attitude and believe in lifting my teammates up. On the field I pride myself on my speed and defense as well as my base running. I recently posted a 6.73 second 60. At the plate I have a line drive approach, hit for average and have a high on base percentage. My current focus is to continually get better and help my team win a state championship.

I feel the combination of my baseball skills, high academics, work ethic, grittiness and team first mentality would make me a great addition to your team.
