Personal Statement

Playing sports has been something I have done since I could walk, but I’ve always had a special connection with baseball. I have always known I would like to play baseball at the highest level, and I believe I have the mindset needed to do that. Whatever I lack in skill, I make up for in effort and competitiveness.

Giving 100 percent on the baseball field also applies to the classroom.  My class rank is currently number five out of 232 students with a 4.0 GPA.  Being accepted into the National Honor Society and becoming a member of the All-State Football Academic Team confirms that academics are a high priority to me.

During my sophomore year, my high school baseball team didn’t have a stellar season.  However, I was determined to continue to build character, leadership, and athletic skills and was awarded first team all-conference and first team all-district honors.

It is my belief that I have the drive, skills, and character to make an impact on and off the field and to be an asset to any baseball program.  I will give 100 percent effort at all times.
