The game of baseball has been a significant part of my life ever since I could walk. Throughout the years, baseball has taught me many qualities that are important both on and off the field such as confidence, commitment, respect, and flushing the emotions that come with the game and real world situations. Baseball has truly shaped the competitive, dedicated hard working personality that I have.
I take pride in knowing that I am quick on the bases and in the outfield. At the end of every season, I am consistently in the top two of our team in stats for stolen bases. With my dedication to the game, my days are spent on and off the field from season practices to off-season training, from lifting, speed drills, tee work, and continuing to throw the baseball around during the winter months. I believe that strong communication skills are important for a successful team, therefore I am always talking it up in the outfield making sure myself and my teammates are locked in on the game and ready for the ball to be hit to one of us. If we are on offense you will find me up on the fence cheering on my teammates. In the off season I am always encouraging my teammates to come into our indoor facility to lift or even just take a few swings, or throw the ball around for a bit.
My ultimate goal is to play college baseball at the highest level while obtaining a quality education with financial assistance. I do not have a specific school I would like to attend. I am open to any opportunity to continue playing baseball at the collegiate level. For over seven years, I had an IEP (Individual Education Program) for math which included me being placed in a separate math class than my peers. With many hours of hard work and excellent teachers, I was able to exit out of the program the start of my junior year and return to the regular classroom. While working hard at math and putting in countless hours at our indoor facility I was able to maintain a 3.0+ GPA.
Sincerely,
Jaxson Brandt
