Personal Statement
My name is Evan Merrifield and I'm a Junior at Gilford high School. I have been playing baseball since I was three years old. For the first time in my life i missed a season. I missed last season because I was sick on the three days of tryouts for the freshman team. I plan to major in either somewhere in engineering or stay in the automotive field. I attend the automotive program at the Laconia HUOT Technical Center.
My biggest strength as a baseball player is my fielding. I can play anywhere needed on the field. I mainly play catcher, second base, or center field. I have good accuracy throwing. I'm always improving wherever i can on my game. I've been mainly focusing on improving my batting and increasing arm strength.
I hope I can get a great education and continue to play sports competitively. I hope to join a great college that will be a good fit for me where I can excel in sports and education.
