Since I was nine years old and made my first all-star team, my greatest memories have been on the baseball field. From a young age, I have loved the unmatched individual and team competition. Especially as a pitcher, the spotlight is on me at all times. The battle between pitcher and batter, controlling runners and performing successfully under pressure are my strengths. I throw for strikes and had tournaments with 86% strikes thrown, leading my travel team to semi-final and regional championship games. I thrive on every individual battle between pitcher and hitter; each pitch uses as much mental strategy as it does physical ability. Despite playing 2 varsity sports since Freshman year, the challenge of baseball is unmatched.
On the field my coaches describe me as confident and collected. A player who always works hard and is dedicated to his team. My teammates see me as a competitive leader on the mound and in the classroom. People describe me as talkative and social as well as involved in various community service organizations. My parents know me as a dedicated student athlete and have told me that I am embracing the challenge of becoming a college student athlete with maturity.
Academically I am looking to find a strong business program. I hope to have a career in business management, marketing, and potentially incorporate baseball. I am focused on staying on the east coast, no further south than North Carolina. I would like to be in a suburban or urban setting.
