From an early age I noted others that worked tirelessly to be the best at whatever it was he or she desired to be. I suppose that was why I admired Jason Varitek of the Boston Red Sox. That need to work has not wavered as I got older. I suppose that is what I will provide the team and the school that welcomes me - an unabashed desire to work and be the best student, athlete, and teammate I can be.
I want to study business and possibly, if all things fall into place, work in baseball in an upper-management position. My dad's high school friend was also from a small, no-nothing NH town, like me, and he became the general manager of the Boston Red Sox. In fact, I am currently working on my Senior Project for school and I am focusing on the scouting side of baseball.
What sets me apart from other people is that I know I need to earn everything I get. There is no resting and hoping.
