Schuyler Lomberk '21 Recruiting Profile

Having grown up at the baseball field watching my cousin play, I developed an intense love of the sport at an early age. I joined a 9u travel team at the age of 7, and though it was difficult at first playing with and against older boys, it taught me to be mentally tough and to work extra hard to earn my spot on the team. I have also been fortunate to be part of an all star team that has won a district title three years in a row, and has gone to the NJ state final championship game.  Excellent coaching over the years has led to good mechanics and a high skill level, including a unique ability to command my pitches. I am excellent at pitching backward and keeping batters off balance, which allows me to keep my pitch count low and throw complete games.  

In college, I plan to study sports management and maintain a high gpa while playing baseball.  My ability to remain tough under pressure and be a true team player, willing to do whatever it takes to help my team win, makes me a great candidate for any collegiate team. I am also strong academically, maintaining high grades while in honors classes, making me an excellent candidate for a vigorous academic program.
