Hi my name is Kyle McDevitt . I have committed to King's College where I will play ball and pursue my degree in Accounting.
I am currently a senior at Cinnaminson High School and am looking forward to continuing my baseball skills in college. In order to do so I have committed to working out in the gym 6 -7 days a week and I played on two travel teams for the summer of 2022.
Last fall I continued my training with Go Yard as I participated in the Go Yard showcase on October 8th as well as the University of Scranton Team Showcase September 30th through October 2nd. In addition I committed to be at the Go Yard Custom Combine Exposure Day on October 9th.
I played catcher for NJ Pride 17u and on the scout team for Go Yard where I wear the number 2. I lead my team in RBIs and had a batting average of nearly 300. During my junior year, I played on both the Varsity Team for Cinnaminson High School and the JV team as part of the class of 2023 and my team made it to the 3rd round of the state playoffs. We are looking forward to even better results for my senior year.
My goal is to attend a college that will challenge me scholastically as well in the sport of baseball. I plan to major in business and perhaps minor in science as well as play baseball on a team where I can contribute to the success of the team and make a true impact on the team. I am fully committed to baseball and have grown as a leader for my teams as the catcher.
I pride myself in being a true team player. I love baseball and continue to train in the sport to be the best at as many positions as possible. My primary position is catcher and in addition as called upon, I can play outfield, third base, and second base. I have worked very diligently to increase my baseball knowledge and to know where to place the ball when at bat to accomplish the team's goals. I bat lefty but can spray the ball all around the field. While I am not the home run hitter, I have great success adding to the team scoring with RBIs. I have been training as a right handed catcher for the last several years and play catcher for varsity. On my travel team I catch predominately and I play second base , first base and pitch for NJ Pride Coached by Mark Tillman. At times I have been used as the DH as I continue to become proficient at hitting the ball to where it is most productive. Last summer, I steadily increased my batting position in the batting order and lead my team in RBIs for the summer travel season. During the times I am not in the field I am constantly in the game cheering for my team and assuring that I am ready to play as needed. I make it a priority to attend all practices as well as have a work out schedule weightlifting in the gym to continue to build my strength.
I would love to know more about your team and how I would add to your team dynamics. I look forward to meeting you in person soon.
