I am a baseball junkie. From building a batting cage in my backyard, to getting kicked off the high school field so the football team can practice, I live, eat and breathe baseball. That is to say, after my schoolwork is done! I am training, conditioning, and preparing 110% to playing at the collegiate level. I am a Junior at St John Vianney High School in Holmdel NJ, and look forward to the challenges ahead as I chase my dream to play baseball at the college level while pursuing a career in Engineering.
My baseball skills can be summed up in this example. Our team had no catcher for one tournament in summer of 2015. My first game ever catching was done in front of legendary catcher and NY Yankee manager Joe Girardi as we competed against his son's team. I did so well that I ended up catching the rest of the tournament. The entire summer I played every position except 1st base which shows my versatility and willingness to do anything to get on the field.
I am strong academically. I am a straight A student. I am a member of the National Honor Society. I am enrolled in all Honors classes and will be taking an AP class as a senior. I study hard and am proud of my success in the classroom. I believe my work on and off the filed will pay off. I will never give up. I look forward to my future as a college scholar and strong member of a baseball team.
