Jordan Jones '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Jordan Jones. I currently reside in Elizabeth, NJ and I am a Freshman at Alexander Hamilton Prepretory School which is one of the top gifted and talented schools in the nation. I bat right, throw right and my main position is Centerfield.

One thing you should know about me is baseball actually was not my 1st choice of sport. I was a football kid. I loved playing football and started when I was 6. During my time playing football, I was MVP all 3 years and Offensive Player of the Year for 2 years. When I was 9 during practice,  I was tackled by a teammate and received a concussion with slight memory loss. My parents took all the proper precautions for me to return to football the following year. But the love for the sport was not the same. I began playing baseball with the Elmora Youth League and found that I was ok with a bat. I practiced and practiced and found that baseball is what I was ment to play. I've had to learn to be patient and that not every ball thrown at you is ment for you. Kind of like life. I currently play for the Garden State Nationals travel team where we have won fall and summer USABL leagues and tournaments. I have also participated in many tournaments where my team was successful.  I play 14u and 16u and have started to perform in college showcases to get a feel of what's to come in the near future.  I also play for my high schools Jr. High School hand selected team for Fall.

Im hoping to turn baseball into a career with the right  guidance and proper training. I know there is still alot for me to learn and am willing to do so to make myself the best player I can be!
