December 2020 Personal Statement
Hi Coaches, my name is Connor Saslow and I have loved baseball since I was 7 years old. I would practice whenever and wherever I could. I would have a catch with my Dad before he would leave for work everyday.
I believe all this practice has made me the player I am today. I have been playing travel ball since I was seven years old. And though I was often the smallest on the team I was usually the best pitcher and fielder.
Today I play shortstop and usually lead off. My fielding is excellent and I have terrific range in the field. My bat-to-ball skills always gives me a chance to get on base or drive in a run.
I am looking for an excellent academic school with a competitive baseball program. I am sure that I would be a good fit for your program and would love the opportunity to speak with you.

- CLASS RATING SS/OF POSITION PROJECTION 12/13/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Manalapan, NJ Connor is an athletic SS/OF who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and he presents well out front. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls and works to get behind, playing through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (83 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Connor has potential with time and room to progress his game.
