My name is Mason Kurtz and I am a 23' MIF and 3B. I've been playing this sport since I was 5 years old, and I've loved this sport ever since. I've always dreamed about playing baseball in my future and all I've done since those dreams started was work to achieve it.
On the field I see myself as a leader and a lifter. When I'm in the dugout, I'll never let the spirits get low, we're either loud or we lose, I love keeping the energy up. I will never let a teammate walk by me whether it's after a strikeout or a home run without saying something. I personally put a huge emphasis on positive team relationships and will do anything to make that happen.
As for academics, I am in an early college program which means that my first 3 years of high school I've taken certain courses in high school to build up credits for college. This year, my senior year, I'm taking all college courses at my local community college. Once I graduate this year from high school, I'll graduate with an associates degree.
Throughout baseball and these academics, there's a lot of pressure to succeed but that's what I love. Pushing myself, getting better both as a student and an athlete, and building off mistakes made along the way.
