Baseball to me is a game that not only allows me to have fun and be free but most importantly teaches me ways to attack the game of life as well. I've been playing baseball since as long as I can remember . Throughout my years of playing baseball, my maturity has grow tremendous on and off the field the more I play. On the field, I am a player full of energy, always being vocal to my teammates, encouraging them to stay together as ONE as we play. I am a great teammate and very open minded on advice to improve my game from my coaches and players. Since entering high school, I have been on the varsity team since my freshman year. Off the field, I have always been able to balance my school workload with baseball training as I maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher. I believe that I would bring great leadership and mentality and toughness to your team. During the summer, I play for the PS2 Crusaders
I realize that life is just like the game of baseball. If I go 0 for 3 during a close game , am I going pout or get discouraged ? No, because my team need me and feeds off my energy, especially because I am leader. If I am in slump, am I going go into each game thinking about the last at-bat to put me down ?, Of course not! I am going attack each game and each opportunity as a fresh start because it only takes one pitch to change the game. I am very hardworking person and try to balance my metailty as much I can, especially coming from the Northeast it is a very difficult grind on and off the field. Just like baseball, life is full of tests, and I am not going get myself down and not worry only about myself because my family needs me, especially living with single mom and taking of my younger sibling.
I am looking for a school that fits me and gives me the full college experience, and the chance of fulfilling my dream of playing at the collegiate level. While finding a school, I want to make sure that I am in a great situation not only from a baseball standpoint but from an academic point of view as well. Also, a place where the program is a family picking each other up on and off the field.
Thank you so much, God bless you.
Best,
Teonis Pimentel
