Baseball is everything to me. No matter how good the ups are, or how bad the downs are, nothing could ever change my love and passion for this sport. It is hard to find something to work on every single day and enjoy it, and realize that all of it feels worth it. I am constantly working on my craft to get better, my goal is to play collegiate baseball at a division 1 level, I am currently doing everything I can to reach that goal, I am primarily a catcher and also a corner outfielder, I stand at 5’8 with a 160 Lbs frame
My favorite thing about this sport is as you work harder, as you learn more, the results fall into place and it is very to easy to view progress. Also, it is so appealing that this sport is 70% failing and 30% success, what I am trying to realize is that you may not have your best game, but you can produce for your team still, and 3/10 times succeeding is a great average, it is tough to capitalize off of failure, and that is why you have to be so mentally strong to excel in this sport.
I am currently a junior now heading into my biggest season for high school baseball and travel baseball, I am a returning member on my varsity team at Monroe township high school, my travel team is the NJ Marlins 17u, I feel now is the most important time to compete and put myself in the best place to succeed, hey where I want to
If I we’re to say, hitting is most definitely my strength, although I do not make many errors, I always compete in the box, and I am always looking to do damage, with a hunt fast ball aggressive approach, I feel that hitting the ball now to the right line to the left line is second nature at this point, weaknesses are definitely hanging with off-speed, defensive strengths are blocking the ball behind the plate, although sometimes I struggle with judgement. In the outfield, I am super confident with making any plays, has become second nature definitely over the years, though I am grinding to gain velocity, decrease my pop time, and make my weaknesses strengths.
