Michael Flax '22 Recruiting Profile

I’m proud to have made the varsity roster as a freshman for one of the best public school baseball programs in New Jersey and also to be ranked by PG as a Top 1000 player in class of ‘22. My summer team is a high level program run by the coaches at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. They’ve given me a taste for what I’ll need to make it to the next level.  I want to give myself the greatest opportunity to play at the highest level possible.  I’ve been playing since I was 4 years old and have been in love with game ever since. However, I was given a major setback. In 2011, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Burkitts Lymphoma twice.  I missed baseball so much that year of my life. Even though I wasn’t able to participate in games, me and my dad would sneak out of the hospital to have a catch every so often.

I’m looking for a college that will not only provide an opportunity for me in athletics, but a school that fits me well academically. I also play high school football, which has made me a better baseball player by making me more aggressive and athletic on the diamond.  What I most value about myself is my quickness and athleticism on the field. You’ll never catch me standing around while play is happening.  I believe that I not only have the skill set to compete for a college program, but the work ethic, coachability, self control, and leadership it takes to make an immediate impact on any program.
