Hello, I am Alex Gioffre, a 2023 grad who attends Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan. My life has revolved around baseball since the day I was able to walk. On all of my teams throughout my life, my coaches and teammates have looked up to me, and relied on me to lead the team. I have always worked to bring out the best in my team, as well as myself, and that has made me into a better ballplayer. Throughout my whole career, I've been told to put academics before athletics, a philosophy which I now understand and agree with. I hope to play baseball and combine my grades to help me achieve my goal of getting into a great school, as getting superior grades has been, and will always be my first priority. I always put all of my effort into my goals, and I swill strive to be successful both academically and athletically in college and beyond.

- HIT: 7 POWER: 7 PITCHING: 7 Overall PG Grade 7 Alex Gioffre is a 2023 RHP/MIF/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Northvale, NJ who attends Northern Valley Regional. Tall and slender young build with lots of physical projection ahead of him. Primary right handed pitcher, full side step delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot, good clean separation heading down the mound with good pace to his mechanics and good extension out front, mechanically sound delivery. Fastball worked up to 78 mph with good running life at times. Tended to slow his body and arm when throwing a soft curveball. Young body and face and sound mechanics with a smooth arm, very good bet to keep adding velocity as he gets stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a well timed load, lofted swing with some feel for the barrel, has the beginnings of some young bat speed, can get more drive out of his lower half. 5.03 runner in the sixty. Excellent student.
