Nick Yaccarino '26 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing competitive baseball since the age of 7. I fell in love with the game after watching videos of my grandfather Daniel Yaccarino win the LLWS in1964 for Mid- Island (Staten Island).

My coaches describe me as the team leader, coachable and respectful. I understand this is a game of failure therefore I understand the importance of always displaying confidence. I believe this game has made me mentally tough and I actually look forward to being put into high pressure situations, such as starting or closing important games.  

 I train throughout the winter with my club team and High School team, which includes baseball skills, speed & agility, and strength training.  My goal is to get stronger and faster.

I finished up my junior year where I was designated the teams ace and starting shortstop. I earned 1st team all-conference (Skyland / Raritan Division) and team M.V.P., which I am most proud of. I am currently a two-way player and plan on trusting the process to determine which position will help me be most successful in getting to the next level. My goal is to play competitive baseball while obtaining a college degree. 

One lesson I have learned from playing baseball all these years is that you have to work hard to be successful and I have to trust the development process.
