Michael Staiano '23 Recruiting Profile

Baseball is a huge part of my daily life. Throughout the years, it has accustomed me many superior qualities that would make me a robust asset for your team. This sport has made me become very self-disciplined to improve skills and train on my own. It has given me a devotion to become a better player and find ways I could add to team’s success. I feel I would bring good spirit and character to any team as well as tough mental and moral qualities. I have a valuable upbeat personality.  I respect all coaches and players and I always get along very well with everyone. I have a positive attitude and a determined mindset that I can pursue and take direction.

Holding a baseball bat since the age of 2, it has grown a big way to be a dominant part of who I am today. Baseball has taught me the value of teamwork. In order for a team to be successful everyone has to work together. This is an important life skill in general. Baseball has also taught me how to be tough and learn from the falls.  Every single plate appearance is a new opportunity. I have learned to reset and focus on the next step in order to always improve to the best of my ability. Pitching displays new challenges. I don’t always agree with the call, but I have learned to not show my emotions and continue to play the game. All of these different attributes have not only helped me become a better baseball player, but also have made me a stronger and better person. I have always stayed focused on being the best I can be, and take advantage of every opportunity I get to be on the field. Since entering high school, I have been raining for baseball everyday and continue to grow and learn to become the best I can be. I am serious about school and currently maintaining 4.0 gpa .  Baseball is important, but school comes first. I try my absolute best in school, I stay after school to furthermore improve my knowledge. I pay attention to my teachers and I always study to make sure that I am prepared for all my quizzes and tests. I am looking forward to finding a school that will allow me to have a well-rounded college experience consisting of a great education and to follow my lifelong dream of playing baseball at the college level.
