Alex Abrams - Pit...Personal Statement
I would like to find a school that will allow me to earn a great education while playing baseball.
I am a dedicated team player both on and off the field. I am an active volunteer as a school ambassador at Don Bosco Prep, where I proudly work open houses and escort prospective students around campus for Ironman for a Day. I also belong to the Don Bosco Prep Veterans’ Affairs Committee / Travis Manion Foundation to raise money for America’s bravest. I maintain a close relationship with my former coach, Lou DiChiaro, and help him with his camps for younger kids just entering the sport.
I have always been a two way player that has had success at the plate and in the field for both my school and club teams. While I continue to play middle infield, this year I focused more on pitching where I had tremendous success as a starter and as a reliever. I did pitch a Perfect Game last fall at Diamond Nation for my 16U club team.
I know I would be a great addition to any school and team that gives me an opportunity.
