Michael Burnley '23 Recruiting Profile

From the time I could walk I have had a bat in my hand.  Throughout my journey playing baseball, I have realized I have the skills to play at the next level.  I have never been the biggest or strongest guy on the field, however, I always use it as motivation and encouragement to be that guy.  I use my failures as fuel to power myself to achieve my next accomplishment which is why I believe I am the right person for any team.  As well as my strong determination on the field, I carry that dedication  into the classroom.  As a high school athlete, I know student comes first in student-athlete, and my family and I take that very seriously.  Throughout my life, I have had the dream every kid has had, to play Major League Baseball.  After growing and maturing, I have discovered my new goal is to no matter what get to the next level and do whatever needs to be done to get there.
