Benjamin Sumek '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Ben Sumek and I am currently a Junior in high-school. I am dedicated to the sport of baseball and have worked hard for many years to achieve my goals as a catcher and utility player.  This work ethic translates to the classroom as well, as I am in a medical based high school program that also allows me to integrate college classes into my current education. I have and will continue to take these classes through Rowan College of South Jersey with my ultimate goal being to achieve an Associates degree by the end of my senior year. I am a team player and seem to easily fall into a leadership role on any team I am on as this year with help from a senior we have ran captains practices including indoor hitting and fielding drills as well as weather permitting outdoor practices. I will always push my team to work harder and be more focused on games and practices. I aspire to work my hardest and one day play at the highest level most beneficial to my college career and beyond. I know I can be a fantastic asset to whatever team and college I eventually play on.
