Andrew Simmons '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Andrew Simmons. I am a junior at Watchung Hills Regional High school in Warren, New Jersey. I am currently on our Varsity team where I am a PO.  I also play for In the Zone out of Flanders, New Jersey.  I have a very strong desire to play baseball in college and I am interested in pursuing business or political science.  Ultimately, I would like to study law.  Unlike most of the players on this site, I started playing baseball in 5^th grade.  I fell in love with the game during my first game and it has been a passion since then. My focus as a PO has been working on my physical strengths and well as mental to challenge myself and the batter during every appearance on the mound. I have consistently improved my performance and demonstrated high levels of leadership on and off the field. When not on the field or at practice, I like to volunteer and I participate in winter track where I achieved Varsity level this past winter.  I am committed to balancing my academic pursuits with my athletic commitments. I believe I would be a valuable addition to any collegiate baseball team.
