Baseball has been a passion of mine since I was little, but being raised in a Christian home with strong moral values and a commitment to family, have shaped me as a person. I learned from my parents the desire to help others and to remain humble in all that I do. They also taught me a strong work ethic as both my mother and father have demonstrated what it means to work hard, be determined, and to learn from my mistakes or setbacks. I came to love baseball probably because my dad was a college pitcher and a huge baseball fan. As a toddler, I even gave my grandmother the name “Bobby” after Bobby Abreu from the Philadelphia Phillies and from then on my younger brother and sister and I all call her “Bobby”. My dad and my mom were always willing to practice with me and take me for lessons to help me become the player I am today.
Baseball has taught me how being at the top of my game requires a ton of practice. I’ve been on top by winning Districts and Regionals and playing at States to go to Williamsport as a 12 year old. I’ve also gone through a season where I felt I lost my swing and I had to re-focus my dedication to get back to the top of my game. On the baseball field, I have learned the value of teamwork and I do my best to lead by example with my hustle and encouragement to my teammates. I am looking for a college program that will be a great fit for me both academically and athletically. I believe I will make an immediate impact on your program with my strong work ethic and character. I look forward to the opportunity to be part of the team.
