My name is Diego Rodriguez. I want to play baseball at the next level and be one of the best. I am determined to perform at the best of my ability, and to further myself as a person. I work hard to become a better baseball player by working on my skills everyday. I keep a weekly schedule to hit, do drive-line and long toss, lift weights and attend club baseball practice. I focus on learning on and off the field and strive to further my knowledge at school.
I have been playing baseball since I was five years old. I have always played with older kids. I skipped tee ball and went straight to coach pitch. At seven years old I made the 9U Allstar team, but I was not allowed to play because I was "too young.” I made my high school varsity baseball team as a freshman and was a starter. I get along well with my teammates and demonstrate leadership on and off the field. I feel that I can help the teams I play on because of my ability to stay focused and play all the positions on the field.
Since a young age I loved the game of baseball. My dream since coach pitch has been to play in the MLB. I work hard and have dedicated my whole life to achieving this goal. My determination to get better each day is the reason I will succeed, and one day my dream will be a reality.
