Thank you for viewing my profile. I am a member of the class of 2017 at Croton- Harmon High School in Croton on Hudson, NY. I am a "late-blooming" 15 y/o RHP who did not pitch at all until my freshman season in high school and am still learning the mechanics of pitching. I am aware that I have much work to do to improve my form and am totally committed to my development as a pitcher.. There are some obvious velocity leaks in my delivery that I'm actively working to correct. My goal for the offseason is to increase my FB velocity by at least 5-7 mph and to continue to strengthen my core and legs. In 9th grade I played on the JV team, was given the opportunity to start 3 games and had success against strong lineups. My strengths as a pitcher include pinpoint control of my pitches and composure on the mound. I am never rattled by bad outcomes and I always want the ball in tough situations. This spring I have been invited to travel to Florida for spring training with the varsity squad and compete for a position on the team in my sophomore year. Although my primary position on the team is as starting RHP , when I'm not on the mound I play both corner infield positions. I love to pitch and would like this position to be what I play at the college level. I have always worked hard to reach my highest potential and will continue to do so as a college student/athlete. I am very coachable and appreciate the constructive criticisms of good coaches who have my best interest at heart. I am mature and serious about the game and play it the right way. . With that being said, I am also able to "shake off" a bad game and come back strong. I keep things loose on the bench and get along well with my teammates and am a mature team leader.. At this point my goals include attending an academically selective school where I will be challenged to achieve even more and reach my ultimate goal of having a career on the business side of baseball . I am a very good student and maintain an A- GPA . while tackling academically rigorous classes. My greatest desire is to be able to play baseball at the collegiate level while completing a Business Management/Economics degree. In my experience so far, the combination of sports and academics is a lifestyle that suits my personality perfectly. In the next two years, I will continue to train, work hard on improving my skills on the field as well as continuing to challenge myself academically. Hopefully, I will be able to contribute to the success of your baseball program in the next couple of years!
