"The game of baseball has been a major part of my life since I was able to pick up a bat and ball. Throughout my life baseball has taught me many life lessons to shape my character. It has also given me many outstanding qualities that would make me a key asset to your baseball program and university. Having had baseball in my life from the beginning, it has become my passion.
I have been on the Varsity baseball team since I was a Freshman. In addition, I have played summer ball since I was twelve years old as well as fall ball and have always played a level above my age group. This has taught me to work extremely hard and to be self motivated to perform consistently at a very high level. Playing with older players has taught me what it takes to play at the next level and the drive it takes to get there. It has shaped me to become a leader on the field and have a better understanding of the game.
This experience has led me to set high goals and to strive to achieve them. I am self-motivated and I am always looking to improve my game by any means necessary. I train rigorously whether its in the gym or on the ball field. I have a private trainer and hitting instructor who both help me to become the best player I can be and have success on the field. I am 5'10" 175lbs and my best sixty yard dash time is 7.1 seconds. I have received baseball honors such as Honorable Mention at second base my Sophomore year and this year I made it on the Second Team at third base in the Foothills Council. I am always trying to find a way to bring success to my team and always trying to find a way to win.
I know I would bring a positive attitude, good character, academic excellence, leadership, passion and metal toughness to your program. I am a people person who enjoys meeting new people and creating friendships. I also enjoy making people laugh and have a good time. I always respect coaches and other players to the best of my ability. I always enjoy learning new ways to improve my game and always take in what I can learn. I am a natural born leader and am always looking to motivate others and lead them to victory. I want to be able to have fun on the field but, when it comes to crossing those chalk lines it's all seriousness and I have one goal...to win.
I am excited to begin my college career and to find a school which will provide the greatest opportunity to receive an excellent education as well as a memorable baseball career."
