Kyle Kuiken '21 Recruiting Profile

Baseball is the greatest sport ever created.  I have played baseball for as long as I can remember.  While playing in all levels of the sport, from Little League, to High school, to travel ball, I have learned many things.  I have learned how to work in every aspect of my craft until everything I do is perfect.  I have learned that hard work ALWAYS pays off in the end and nothing in life or this game comes easy.  I have learned that mistakes will happen, and it is how I choose to react to (and learn from) those mistakes that will determine what kind of man I will become.  I have learned whether in baseball or in life, that being able to listen and learn from those that know more than I is a quintessential trait that I must master to succeed.  These things have shaped me into the player I am today; a player ready to take the next step to achieve my goal of going to college and having the opportunity to play baseball at the next level.

I am currently attending Minisink Valley High School and doing well in school. I strive to keep my grades at 90% or better in all my subjects and am proud of the fact that I have not ended a single semester yet with a grade below that mark.  I am looking for a school that can challenge me both mentally and physically. I would prefer a school that gives me the best chance of consistent playing time as well as a challenging and stimulating academic schedule. I would like to be able to play out west, but I am looking for the school that best fits me and my life goals.

I am excited to begin this next chapter in my young life and for the opportunity to play baseball at the collegiate level.
