Cameron Coons '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'1  senior first baseman from Saratoga Springs, NY.  I will graduate from Saratoga Central Catholic High School in 2013.  I have been a starter on the modified, freshmen, junior varsity and varsity teams.  I have also been a starter for the past four years on a highly competitive travel baseball team.  I have been co-captain the past three years on the travel team. 
For 2012 I was selected to the Western Athletic Conference First Team as the 1st base all-star and Saratoga Central Catholic's MVP for the varsity baseball team. I was also named to the Times Union (Albany) honorable mention for small schools, The Post Star (Glens Falls) All-Star Team (as the only player from the Saratoga Springs area to be named to the team).
Being the son of a college basketball coach, who also played baseball at a professional level, I know the importance of hard work both in the classroom and on the field.  I am a complete team player and leader along with being a coachable player.  
I am looking for a program where I can be an impact early in my college career.  I would be looking for a college or university where I can major in either athletic training/sports medicine or sports management.  My family and I will be applying for financial aid while also being eligible for the Tuition Exchange Program.
