Michael Jaeger '13 Recruiting Profile

I am Michael Jaeger. I am 6 feet tall and about 195 lbs. My main position is catcher, and I play that position 90% of the time when I'm on the field. Others positions I have played are Outfield, First Base, and have batted in the DH spot in the lineup. At Summit, I played catcher or DH in most of our games. I started off the year primarily at the DH spot, but earned my spot catcher with my defense towards the end of the year as I threw out 5 out of 8 potential base stealers, and blocked the ball pretty well. I bring confidence, hard work, attitude, and intelligence to the field with me. As a catcher with my club team, through my hard work and success, I have earned the ability to call my own game, and determine the way opposing batters are faced through a pitching perspective. I also succeed with confidence in the classroom, as I have a cumulative 3.86 GPA through my junior year in high school at The Summit Country Day School in Cincinnati, Ohio. I plan to go to an academically notable college as I pursue to follow my dream of playing collegiate baseball.
