Mitchell Smith Ci...Personal Statement
My name is Mitchell Smith. I attend Cincinnati Christian High School in the class of 2019 as a SS and P, but my strength is versatility, which allows me to play any position. I am very passionate about the game of baseball. Ever since I was little, my goal has been to play in college. My love for the game is what fuels me to always play my best, and to work to the best of my abilities, both during the season and in the off-season.
I just completed my Junior year at Cincinnati Christian High School I earned the Miami Valley Conference Gray Division Player of the Year. I was also selected to the Prep Baseball Report All-State Team (Div IV), 1st team All-MVC, 1st Team All-Area, Pre-season PBR Division IV All-State Honorable Mention, and The Cincinnati Enquirer Athlete of the week for the week of May 24th. My sophomore season, I was awarded 1st Team All-Miami Valley Conference, along with 1st Team All-City (Cincinnati). My Freshman season, I was awarded 2nd Team All-Miami Valley Conference and 2nd Team All-City.
Academically, I have a 3.2/4.0 GPA and am currently taking College Credit Plus courses at Cincinnati Christian High School. I would like to continue my academic journey by studying business/finance in college.
On a personal level, I am involved with the Chic-fil-A Leader Academy and serve Project 5-2 Ministries. With the CFA Leader Academy, we visit nursing homes, homeless shelters, and hold festivals for foster children. With Project 5-2 and partners, we help supply the homeless with the essential needs and help church outreach programs.
