Parker Thompson '19 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was a young boy I loved the game of baseball. Our back yard in PA where I grew up backed up to the towns little league baseball fields. My older brother and I were always playing on those fields with the kids in the neighborhood. We played all the time just having fun. That’s where my passion for the game began.

In 2010 my family moved to Ohio where my baseball journey continued. My town had a very strong little league program. When I was 12 years old our team lost the last game of the State Championship to represent Ohio in the Great Lakes regional finals. I was so proud of my teammates and how we played during that amazing run. That memory will last forever as every baseball player dreams of playing in the Little League World Series.

My dream today is to play baseball at a high level in College while achieving my academic goals. I am a hard worker who really understands that attitude and effort matter when you purse your dreams or live your life. Every coach that I have played for at any level would say I am a good kid, a leader, a great teammate, with intelligence, consistency, and passion. These qualities are what drive me as a baseball player and have been the major factors behind my productivity on the baseball field and in the class room.

I hope to have the opportunity to show coaches that I would be a great addition to any program as a player, teammate and student.
