A college education is important to me, however I am undecided regarding what field I would like to study. I would love to be a baseball coach at the collegiate or professional level, education may be a good option for me, I've also considered a career as a pilot. Today I plan to enter my freshman year undeclared.
Academically, I accel in the arts. I play 4 instruments including the clarinet, tuba, baritone, and base guitar. I've won local art competitions for my pottery and this year came very close to qualifying for thrown pottery in a national competition. I'm active in school clubs and student council and was recently selected as a member of Boys State, which will take place summer, 2022.
On the field I keep the team focused and have fun. I'm a positive role model and I don't let set backs bring down the mood in the dugout. I started my early baseball career as a catcher and first baseman, but was always drawn to pitching. As my confidence grew in the sport I jumped into pitching around age 13 then at 15 made a clear shift to focus on pitching. I recently attended Ron Wolforth's Texas Baseball Ranch where I learned drills and techniques to protect my arm and improve my velocity and control.
