Jason Hodge '25 Recruiting Profile

My main objective currently is to find an institution that is the best fit for me. Ideally it will allow me to play and develop my baseball skills at the most competitive level possible. It should also offer a field of study that is compatible with my interest & Air Force / Army ROTC.

My school system has been awarded as a "Blue Ribbon School" by the US Department of Education, and as such, it is very competitive academically. It has been rated among the top 10% in the country. I am doing well in school and I expect to graduate with a very respectable GPA & entrance exam scores. I graduate in 2025. My goal is to be enrolled in college by Fall of 2025. 

Our school baseball team is one of the best programs in Southwest Ohio. We made it to the state final four in 2019 and we are very competitive in our conference. We play in the "Greater Western Ohio Conference." (www.gwocsports.com) Our Varsity Coach, Mr. Mark Pelfrey, has recently been inducted into the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall Of Fame, Class of 2024.

I have been playing “Select / Tournament Travel Baseball” for 7 years now and I consider my skills to be very competitive. 

I play as close to “year round” as is possible for my location, (Ohio).

I hit right and throw left. My primary positions are OF & 1B, but my coaches also pitch me at times.  My 60 is currently right at 7.0 seconds. I use "HitTrax" & "Rapsodo" during my Club Team training and my most recent exit velocity has been has high as 87. My most recent OF velocity has been measured at 84.5. I will be getting my metrics re-verified & posted after the high school season around mid May, 2024. 

I am currently researching universities and camps that may be a good match for me. This year I plan to start visiting campuses during the last two weeks of May
