Carson Fields '26 Recruiting Profile

I started school early, so I’ve always tried to work hard enough that no one can tell I’m younger. Fortunately, my size has never given me away!

Last summer I tried out with an even older travel team to support a friend who didn’t know anyone and was offered the starting 1st base spot. It’s been fun playing up because I fit right in with the older players while also being able to guest play for teams in 3 different age groups this fall! Over summer I played in the 14U USSSA All-State Nationals in Dallas as the starting 1st baseman & relief pitcher, getting 3rd place overall and earning MVP for my performance against Team Iowa & Team Georgia.

Postseason travel ball I was one of only 3 on my 15U Pauer team that Coach Flynn kept rostered so that our 16U season we’ll be able to compete at the DI level and at higher profile tournaments with a team of similarly positive-minded, high-competitive drive teammates.

My freshman year I played varsity soccer (GK) and was elected the class Vice President without campaigning for it. I am a 2-year member of the marching band as well as the symphonic, concert, jazz, and pep bands. I was one of only 2 freshmen to make the varsity baseball team during tryouts (DH, LHP, backup 1B, and JV swinger). I earned the game ball as the start-to-finish pitcher in 1 game and postseason the coaching staff voted to honor me with the Knights Award for my positive attitude and competitive spirit. I will be the starting varsity 1st baseman & a relief/closing pitcher at Greenon HS my sophomore year.

I’m currently 3rd in my class academically and anticipate becoming Salutatorian by graduation via a heavy CCP load. I’m naturally inclined to excel in STEM, robotics, & engineering courses and would like to get my undergrad in astrophysics or a related field.
