Hugh Sullivan '23 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to play baseball at a highly selective college or university.  This spring I was the top player on my Westlake High School Varsity team and our Conference Player of the Year. I led my team in batting average (.411) and RBI (24) in 19 games.  As a pitcher I was 4-0 with a 0.84 ERA over 33.1 innings pitched.   

I received the following awards and recognitions:  

    (1) Great Lakes Conference Player of the Year and First Team All Conference; 

    (2) Team Most Valuable Player and Pitcher; 

    (3) Morning Journal First Team All Star (approximately 50 teams in the coverage area); 

    (4) Northeast Ohio Coaches Baseball Association Honorable Mention (six counties and approximately 100 teams in coverage area ).

I transferred to Westlake HS this spring from a Jesuit high school that is a traditional baseball powerhouse.  I brought strong leadership and work ethic skills to our team, and helped us reach levels we may not have achieved without me.  

I have been an excellent high school student, improving my GPA in each of my three years of high school.  My three older siblings are high academic achievers, and I value my academic success just as much as my athletic success.

Finally, my faith and family are the most important things in my life. My parents are very involved and supportive, and I have 3 older siblings who I look up to.
