My ultimate dream is to play professional baseball. But first I want to play four years at college and earn my degree in Veterinary Medicine. I have played baseball my entire life and love the game. The summer before my eighth grade year, I got the opportunity to practice with the varsity team up until I joined them my freshman year. I was a starter my freshman season and I won the Rookie of the Year Award. My sophomore year I took over as the starting pitcher and team leader. I pitched a ten strikeout, five inning, one hitter in district playoffs to seal the championship for my team. I practice every day on my own in addition to team practices, as I always want to get better at playing every position on the field. I look forward to the challenge of this coming year, as my team and I are making a run to be the first team from our school to make it to the state tournament. My academics are just as important to me as athletics, as is shown by my 4.0 GPA. I am co-valedictorian of my class and currently class secretary. I have also served as class president and vice president in the past. During my freshman year I earned the Boy Scout Eagle Scout Award by making improvements to my high school baseball field. I am also active in my local FFA chapter. What I can bring to any team is a hard worker and a thinker. I am the first person to the field and the last to leave. I have played the game my whole life, so I have seen a lot of things that can happen and am prepared for them. On the field I am a leader.
