Jackson Collier '23 Recruiting Profile

Yogi Berra once said “Baseball is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical.”

I consider myself a student of the game. I put in the work to get better and to help the team be the best we can be. In addition to hard work in practice, I also work hard in the classroom and in life.  I was award Utility Player of the Year in 2021 and Defender of the Year in 2022 by my Varsity Team.  I also was honorable mention for All State in 2022.  Yes, I’m a skilled baseball player, but I’m also a 4.0 student and an Eagle Scout. Mental preparation for baseball is more than knowing the game. I also believe in being cool, calm, and collected. I don’t think our team should nervous around each other and we should be comfortable telling our teammates anything. Please know, I will bring more than just the stats to our team, by bringing out the best in everyone.
