I have been playing baseball ever since I can remember and it has been my passion from the moment I started. It has been my goal to play ball in college ever since I could grasp that whole concept and I have been doing everything I can to work towards that goal. I joined the Ontario Terriers in 2015 and it was one of the best decisions of my life as they have helped me be the player and person I am today. When I joined the Terriers, I didn’t know what was going to be in store for me or what to expect but after being a part of the team for 2 years and going into my third year, I can safely say they have done far more than expected. I have developed skills and personality traits that have helped me be a better player and person and have also enhanced abilities that I already had prior to joining them.
One thing about my game that I think makes me the player I am is my work ethic. I go to the gym at least 4 times a week and even if I can’t get there, I make sure I get some work in at home. I work harder and harder every time I go to the gym to make as much progress as possible because my mindset is that if you’re not making progress, you’re really just moving backwards. Another other thing that makes me the player I am is my overall love for the game. It allows me to not only be a great player, but a great teammate as well. I always want to be at practices and games even if I’m not playing because I know I can learn from others. I believe that if you don’t love the game itself, you won’t love putting in the work to get better. That is why I am determined to get better, that is why I work towards my goals; because I love the game.
