Hi, my name is Cal Oleski. I am 18 years old and I live in Maryhill, Ontario, Canada, which is 1 hour west of Toronto. I am 5’11” and 170 pounds. My NCAA registration number is 2102110269. I am an outfielder for the Clarendon College Bulldogs in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC), a Region 5 JUCO D1 league in Texas. My high school did not have a baseball team, so I have spent my entire baseball career looking for the highest level of competition possible.
I have loved baseball for as long as I can remember. It started with my dad and I playing catch in the back yard, which is something we still do. I love the way my glove smells, the sound of the ball coming off my bat, and the way the dirt crunches under my spikes. I really enjoy the camaraderie that comes with being a part of the team. I am a highly motivated and disciplined player, and I prefer to lead by example than with long speeches. I have had very good relationships with my coaches over the years. All of them say that I’m very coachable. I take the sport very seriously but I enjoy the fun of it as well.
I would like to continue to play baseball at a high level for as long as possible. At the same time, I take my education very seriously, and I intend to have a career in health care, possibly physiotherapy. I am hoping to find a university that meets both of those goals.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
