I have never been someone that knows how to promote myself. I am not a person who generally brags about any accomplishments, but rather I do tend to look more at what I could have done to improve a play at the plate, a throw, my at bats, etc. My parents refer to me as HUMBLE, but I just look at myself as "part of the team" WIN or LOSE!
I have been playing baseball since I was about 5 years old. I have played House league, Select and Rep ball, and during 2 seasons I actually played all 3 at once. I started out playing 1st base however the position I always felt most comfortable at was Catcher. Over the years, I have spent many hours trying to refine my play largely on my own, and only in the later years have I had actual Catching Coaches work with me to work on my technique. I have been with the Hamilton Cardinal Organization since I was about 9, and have played at the AAA level. I have also played Varsity Baseball for my High School, 2012, 2013 and 2014 ... i received MVP honors in 2012/2103 and our team took Silver in the City Championships in 2014, the 1st time my school had gotten a Baseball medal of any kind in over 15 years!
I also played Football during my high school career. I played Junior ball in 2012 & 2013, Special Teams ... Senior Ball 2015 & 2016, playing Halfback, Special Teams and Linebacker when needed. The year 2015 saw my team take Silver in the City Championships and in 2016, although we lost in the quarter finals, I was honored to receive The Unsung Hero Award for the season! Playing football with my High school allowed me to continue good training daily, well into fall, and allowed me to continue being part of a team working toward a common goal! I also work-out regularly and in the last year did some Weight Training at McMaster University.
In school, I tend to do very well in subjects that reflect my genuine interest. I have always maintained a fairly steady B average, and all of my courses have always been at an academic level. I am looking to attend a Post-Secondary School that has that program that grabs my attention, holds my interest and allows me to graduate with a diploma/degree in a field that I will enjoy working in for years to come.
