Hello, my name is Max Rutherford. I am a 5'10 220 pound LHP/1B from Ontario, Canada. Playing college baseball has been my dream of mine throughout my whole baseball career. I have dedicated my daily life to make sure I am able to pursue my passion. I am a very dedicated and passionate player who pours his heart onto the diamond giving 100% effort on every play. I am always looking for new ways to improve and learn, which means I always give my coach or speaker all of my attention so I am able to gather every bit of information to make my game better. I use almost everyday to work on something that I need to improve on. I do well in the classroom by pushing myself to maintain a high level of grades and push myself in every aspect of the classroom. I make sure that I provide every ounce of respect to my teachers and peers. My dedication and drive to play college baseball has provided me a life goal where I am able to push myself in every aspect to reach that goal. What sets me apart from other recruits is how passionate I am. I will work day and night, through thick and thin to make sure I can make myself better everyday. I maintain a strong leader role on and off the field. I make sure that I am always respectful to my coaches and the players around me. I work hard in the weight room to get myself to the physical shape I need to be in for life and to play college baseball. I use my everyday life to improve all of my skills and traits so I can play college baseball and I will continue to work hard, respect all, and love baseball until I can pursue my dream. Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement.
