Personal Statement

Hello

I am looking for an opportunity to play baseball at the next level while pursuing post-secondary education so that I may achieve my academic goals.

My name is Dylan Hannon, and I believe I am perfectly suited for a school that provides excellent academic opportunities in addition to having a competitive baseball program. I have dedicated my time in high school to sports including baseball and rugby, while also upholding high academic achievement with an overall grade of 91% (GPA of 4.0).

In 2022, I was given the opportunity of playing with a team an age level above me in the highest division of play. I have a very strong work ethic, and a very positive attitude when it comes to relationships with teammates. I like to take responsibility in raising team spirit, while being focused on our collective goal. Currently this off-season I am working out 5-6x per week, 3 of which involve baseball specific training from my coaches.

As for my academics, I am currently hoping to pursue a Commerce/Business program, as I can build on the university level business and math courses that I have taken throughout high school. I am strongly motivated to receive good scores in my studies, as I aim to attend your school as a student-athlete. I believe that I am more than just an athlete, and by attending your school, I hope that I can have the opportunity to excel both on and off the field while being a positive influence and member of my community.

2023 PBR Canada Spring Training Showcase

Players can expect a Scout Day, six games, practice slots and pre-game batting practice with full unrivalled social media coverage from PBR Canada and our partners in America. Players will also be given a full tech package that includes Trackman, Swift Technology, Blast Motion, ProPlay AI, and Vizual Edge. Each player that participates in the Spring Training Showcase will receive a PBR Player Profile that our staff will update with videos, scouting reports, verified stats, All-Tournament teams and more following the event. The PBR Staff will also write up pre-content coverage of teams attending and players to watch, as well as post-content coverage of event and player results. The PBR Staff will provide Scout Blogs and team recaps throughout the event, and a daily recap of the top performers from each day.

The Major League program is best for new or returning campers and who may have experience playing on a Select or Rep team, and want to take their game to the next level. The program’s specialty instruction will build from the basics to provide enhanced offensive and defensive skill development as well as an in-depth understanding of the sport’s rules and nuances. Campers will be grouped by age and skill level and the day will be full of high repetition and overall baseball immersion and will end with a friendly competitive game for the campers to have fun and practice their talent.

High Performance Baseball - GRIT Athletics

The High Performance Baseball program is designed for athletes who are more than just “interested” in development – they are committed to it. Athletes in this program train with intent, passion, and purpose. When everyone buys into that, it creates an environment that is positive and fun. Our goal is to encourage a culture that makes development contagious This program is a combination of high level, position specific skill work in conjunction with a structured strength and conditioning program. All athletes will partake in: Athletic assessment Daily movement prep Hitting program Throwing program Strength and conditioning program In order to truly and objectively measure athlete progress, each athlete will have a digital and physical log of all personal performance metrics. Players must be at the Elite or AAA level in order to participate.
Spring Break Baseball Training, High Performance Clinic

§ Program Description This program is designed for high performance baseball players currently playing at the Rep or Elite level who are seeking a competitive training environment to prepare for 2021 gameplay. Less lectures, more conversations. Our coaches will offer feedback on technique and approach, but ultimately we create an environment for our athletes to be empowered to workshop amongst themselves: what they feel, what they are thinking, and where they are directing their focus when performing in game-like situations. Throughout the week, the program will include: · Live at bats and simulated games · Batting practice with overhand and soft toss · Throwing workouts with emphasis on arm conditioning · Throw bullpens with and without hitters · Daily strength and conditioning In addition to the daily schedule, athletes will have the opportunity to work on their unique development skills. At the end of the clinic, the athletes will be more confident, prepared, and energized for the baseball season.
