Jaden Cohen '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches, my name is Jaden Cohen. I'm 6ft 4in and 235 pounds. I'm a primary third baseman and secondary first baseman from Toronto, Canada. I'm 19 years old and am currently in my redshirt freshman year of college. I'm currently playing baseball at Trinidad State College which is a Division 1 Junior College program in the NJCAA located in Trinidad, Colorado. I am looking to transfer into a Division 1 or Division 2 NCAA baseball program. Here is some information about me. In high school, I was a Baseball Factory Under Armour Pre-season All-American in my junior and senior years. I attended the event both years. It was very special for me as I was one of the only Canadians invited. I was also a Baseball Factory Under Armour Academic All-American during my senior year. This event was for the best players in the country who have a GPA over 3.5. I take my academics very seriously. I was a straight-A student every year of High School and am currently a 4.0 student in college. I bring that same work ethic that I have off the field onto the field. Throughout high school, I increased all my baseball metrics drastically. My 60-yard dash went from a 9.23 my freshman year to a 7.76 my senior year. My arm velocity went from 58 mph to 80mph in the infield. And my exit velocity went from 72mph to 99mph. I'm a perfectionist so I try to be great in every aspect of my life. I owe a lot of progress to my private coach Wellington Francisco. He is from the Dominican Republic and takes me there in the off-season to train with some of the best coaches and players in the world. I've learned a lot about life and the game of baseball in my time there. At my four-year school, I am looking for a coach who really focuses on development. My dream is to play professional baseball so I need someone who will get me there. And I also need a coach who really cares a lot about their players.
