My Journey with baseball has been a phenomenal and opportunistic road opening up many life lessons and thankful opportunities that have been a true blessing to this point of my life. At a young age I fell in love with sports and competition, that passion has since transitioned into a deeper focus in baseball, and although I quickly fell in love with the game, I did not truly become a ball player until my grade seven year. My Love for the game drove me at that point to become the best because my passion for the game became a desire to succeed in it. I naturally fell into the catching role, wanting to be not only the leader, but to enhance my own learning of other positions, scenarios and overall baseball IQ all while learning tendencies to call a good game from behind home plate, a skill which often goes unrecognized.
My first year of playing competitive baseball shone a light on success, or more accurately how quickly success can fade. Going from a team provincially recognized to a bottom feeder was difficult, but great lessons were to be found in the contrast of these two seasons. The most prevalent of which was that hard work will always beat talent when talent fails to work hard, For the remainder of my time with that AA team; my coach who has earned my respect was on top of us about every little thing, I soon realized the importance of what he was doing, what mattered wasn't what the coach saw, but what he didn't see. I soon realized that my only chances at moving on to the next level was to hold myself to the highest standard possible.
Fast Forward to right now I'm playing for my third Year with the Toronto Mets in the Canadian Premier Baseball League (CPBL); the highest recognized league Canada has to offer. The Mets have been able to develop my natural swing and make many needed improvements, with most major Adjustments out of the way I'm poised to improve with a major upward trend in the close future. As a catcher I have high expectations to improve upon my throwing, and throwing accuracy and aim to become one of the most coveted players coming out of Canada.
Baseball has offered me Many blessings, and I am truly hoping to continue along this path which has already brought me so much joy and many lessons along the way. But first and Foremost I simply want to continue to do what makes me happy, because before all I am a Ballplayer
