Henry Edmonds '28 Recruiting Profile

My name is Henry Edmonds, I graduate in 2028 and I play baseball. A game that has taught me so much, a game that teaches you not only to play a sport but how to be a teammate, and more importantly, a friend. 

I started playing a version of baseball known as "blast ball" when I was 5 and that started a lifelong passion for the game. There is something about hitting that ball, dropping that bat, and rounding the bases that I find incredibly special. With me only being in my freshman year of high school, last year was my first year of travel ball. I really learned that playing at this level takes a lot of skills on and off the field. Not only do you need to have a certain level of discipline to stay focused on not only improving the basic fundamentals, but you also need to stay discipline in the weight room and with what foods you put into your body.

Another skill travel ball has taught me is time management, with managing the heavy workload of school while also finding time to get into the facility. This skill has also lead me to keep a very strong average throughout middle school and I have started with strong marks in high school. I hope to keep this skill up because I am very aware of the fact that marks are one of the most important parts of collage recruiting.

I think I would be a very good addition to a collage program because of my ability to be a good teammate. One thing I really value is a good teammate, someone that is there for you on and off the field. Off the field I pride myself with a very good work ethic and an ability to work hard in the classroom. This is why I feel like I would be a good fit for a collage program.
