Scott Rodrigue '22 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to further develop my skills as a student and an athlete. I believe I can become a good candidate for any team because I believe I am a great performing athlete as well as a great leader on any team. I also differ from others in all three catagories because I strive to always do my best in all catagories and I also am very successful as a person, as an athelete and in academics.

I got into baseball at a young age through watching games on television. I only later decided to be a catcher under the inspiration of Buster Posey. In his prime, he was a player who could catch, throw, hit for contact, and hit for power at an elite level every day. This is what I grew up with and what I wanted to be as a baseball player. 

Overall, I have learnt a lot through playing baseball at an elite level for so many years. In my early years I played soccer as well as playing baseball during the summer. This is helped me learn how to be organized and how to manage my energy conservation and output in sport. In my later years, I have learnt about the mental part of the game and how it can majorly affect your production for your team.
