My love for baseball drives me to do my best on and off the field. I am committed to accepting and learning from new challenges with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Some of my most valuable life lessons and relationships have come from being an athlete and team member. It taught me to work hard not just for myself and my own goals, but to motivate and inspire my teammates to be their best as well. I hope to utilize, and continue to build my skills at the next level.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am gladly writing this letter of recommendation for Marcus Allen. I have known Marcus for three years both as a student and an athlete at West Albany High School. During these years I have watched him through his good times as well as bad, and I have always been proud of this young man’s honesty and integrity in handling himself. He has great dedication and devotion to the endeavors he chooses to pursue. He is punctual and has always communicated conflicts with responsibilities and commitments. He is well organized, plans ahead and holds himself to high standards personally, academically and athletically.
As an athlete, Marcus has great drive and devotion to playing at the next level. He has been an inspirational leader for our baseball and football teams, both in actions and by example. He knows how to motivate and inspire his fellow teammates to work hard and reach for their potential. His work habits are exceptional especially when he has set goals that he expects to reach. These qualities are not only valuable as an athlete, but also in life. I feel Marcus’s best years as an athlete are just beginning to unfold and his personal attributes as a competitor will carry him through the rigorous competition at the next level. His desire for success and his relentless work habits are well beyond most high school kids his age.
Marcus understands the true meaning of being a team player. He shows utmost respect for his coaches, fellow teammates, and competitor’s. He has also shown the same respect to teachers and administrator’s during his time at West Albany High School. His successes on the field and in the classroom have come directly from his eagerness to work hard, persevere hard times, and believe in his abilities and the abilities of his teammates. I am proud to have been part of this young man’s life and highly recommend him for any endeavor he chooses to pursue. He is a quality individual and great competitor.
Sincerely,
Donald Lien
