My name is Bryce Ratliff and I am currently a 17 year senior at Parkland High School, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I have worked hard since the age of 5 to one day achieve my dream of playing baseball at the collegiate level and beyond. I understand the amount of dedication to both academics and athletics that it takes to compete collegiately and am up to the task.
As a freshman, I earned a spot on a very competitive baseball team at my 5-A 3300 student high school. As a sophomore, I was selected by my teammates to be captain. I continue to grow and develop as a player, teammate, leader and student.
As a freshman I had a .550 batting average with a 1.260 OPS. My offensive and defensive statistics have been consistently solid each season since. For my junior year, I earned a 3.4 gpa in college preparatory classes. For the last 6 years I’ve been a member of the ESA Avengers Elite Showcase tournament baseball team whichnis currently ranked top 50 in the US by Perfect Game.
I pride myself on setting stretch goals and then working extremely hard to achieve them. I have done this by constantly analyzing my past performance, building on what worked and improving what did not. My academic goal for college is to graduate with business management and sports marketing degrees. My athletic goals are to play high level competitive baseball while in college and then continue to play and work in baseball professionally.
I’ll be the first to practice, the last to leave. I will always hustle and study as well as analyze and adapt as I strive to be the best player and teammate on the field. I love the game of baseball and will work hard to go as far as I can with it at every level.
